Greetings and welcome to www.Mani.tk. I am a citizen of the world but my passport is Swedish. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to live among people with so many different backgrounds and countries of birth and languages etc. In fact, sometimes the best way to travel is to explore a new area of your own neighborhood. Try a new food, attend a cultural event, listen to new music or start a conversation with a neighbor. You can be a citizen of the world without ever needing a passport. I came to Sweden in the late 80s from Persia during the war-time period with my lovely mother and sister. My father lived and worked at that time in London. I've learned allot from his mistakes in life and I'm grateful for that knowledge (R.I.P). I have a technical diploma in C++/Java Programming and I enjoy scientific programming as a hobby but that's not what I would like to work with in the future. As Albert Einstein once said: “Find your true calling... Dare to live your dreams”. Recently, I’ve been studying Biomedicine in Uppsala University and currently, I am studying Environmental Science. There are many things that we can do to save our environment. Whether you live in Sweden or China, you can help to clean up your local environment and work toward improving the global environment by joining an Environmental Organization. My goals are to further study diseases, immunology and genetics and someday follow my father's footsteps and work with the Doctors Without Borders organization and support the international independent medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict. I want to do something meaningful with my life and give something back to Mother Nature and help the humanity in a generous way instead of just strive for wealth.

“Humor and laughter are a source of power, healing, and survival that we often forget..
If you can find humor in anything, you can survive the troubles and traumas of life..”

I like my space and a lot of it alone, specially when I'm down, which some people find strange. I may enjoy allot of my own personal time but by no means that I'm asocial. I like to hang out with my friends and enjoy the weekends. I don't write about my love life on here, that's something I choose to leave out.

I have many relatives from both my mother and fathers side in the United States and United Kingdom. I enjoy living in Stockholm, it's so peaceful here and the people are more like me in many ways. I see life as a big adventure and plan to eventually change my location after I've finished my education. But I guess there's no place better than home, Stockholm is my home and will always hold a very special place in my heart...

Sweden is beautiful, environment-friendly, open, socialist, non-aligned and strives for equality. The landscape and country-side in Sweden is beautiful, it has miles of unspoilt wilderness covered with forests (millions of trees), lakes and waterfalls etc. Most people think this country is flat but there is actually lots of hills even in the South. Norway and Sweden have the best downhill skiing in the Scandinavian countries, but Sweden is slightly cheaper than its neighbour. Cross-country skiing is very popular and it's a great way to see the wild scenery. The Swedish people are friendly and welcoming and there is quite a lively après-ski (French: after skiing) and nightlife scene. Sweden is becoming increasingly popular with tourists from all over the world. It can be very cold. It can be very expensive, too. But the price equals the beauty!

Stockholm - Beauty on Water :: capital city and seaport of Sweden

Name: Mani  |  Location : Sweden  |  Orientation : Straight  |  Religion : Atheist

General Interests :: Wonders of Nature, Ancient History, Science, Arts, Music, Photography, Literature, Astronomy, Politics, Martial Arts etc. just to name a few... Mans relation to the cosmos and to the unknown interests me and deepens my love of the abstract truth and of scientific logic. My favorite colors are Blue and all the colors of Nature. I enjoy Playing the piano whenever I have free time, I love the sound of this instrument. It relaxes and encourages me. I also have a Need 4 Speed and tension because I am a thrill seeker but definitely not a risk taker!

My Motto: I cherish everyday as a gift, Every morning when I open my eyes, I tell myself that it is special. Every day, every minute, every breath truly is ... a gift that most of us take for granted, we have given our hearts away...

General Attractions :: I love all God's Nature's children regardless of race, creed or nationality. Meeting people with the very same interests is my main goal. A red Ferrari Enzo is for sure a very beautiful car but in my opinion it is truly worthless without its engine. The same goes for humans (objectifying is not my intention). Beauty is not an appearance; it's a state of mind. We need to widen our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. You can find beauty everywhere in every race and nationality if that's what you're looking for. Focusing on beauty is an escape from all the negative and destructive media we're exposed to. Beauty is all around us. We just have to open our eyes and pay attention.

“The greatest treasures are those invisible to the eye but found by the heart...”

Favorite Books :: I love history, especially Ancient history, I just can't get enough of it. The Epic of Kings (Shahname by Ferdowsi) is one of the definite classics of the world. It is a legendary history of Persian Kings from mythical times. The contents and the poet's style in describing the events takes the reader back to the ancient times and makes you sense and feel the events. Ferdowsi worked for thirty years to finish this masterpiece. Ferdowsi's Shahnameh is similar to the Greek poet, Homer's Iliad and Odyssey. When I'm bored I also enjoy H.P. Lovecraft Novels, Japanese Mangas, Technical, Scientific and Medical Books etc.

Favorite TV-Shows :: The Simpsons:) Family Guy, South Park, Sopranos, Cops, Seinfeld, Nip/Tuck, Frasier, Miami Vice, Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien, MTV, World-News, Documentaries, The History Channel, FBI-Files, 60 Minutes and almost everything from Discovery Channel and Animal Planet.

:: Favorite Music :: I have a Extensive range of musical taste and generally I'm still living in the 80's! =) But then I also tend to choose my music category depending on how bored I am... Jazz, Raggie, Trance, Rock, Country, Oldies, Classical, Swedish, Japanese and Persian etc. I believe that Music is the gateway to within. Singing is unifying, and it is the force that can bring harmony to the mind and body.

Favorite Foods :: Healthy Foods, Asian, Persian, Greek and Italian etc. plus garlic, lots of spices and red wine of course. Since Persia is very large and has abundant resources with differences in climate, products, customs and habits, it has developed many food flavors over a long period of time. We believe that food and traditional medicine have the same origin and actions. We can take advantage of the medicinal properties of the raw materials and turn them into all kinds of food, thereby accomplishing the purpose of preventing and curing certain diseases.

My Personal Favorite Dr. Albert Einstein's Remembrance Quotes:

“Peace can not be kept by force! it can only be achieved through understanding.”
“I never think of the future. It comes soon enough.”
“Joy in looking and comprehending is nature's most beautiful gift.”
“Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.”
“Gravity cannot be held responsible for people falling in love.”
“Only a life lived for others is worth living”
“A person starts to live when he can live outside himself.”

Guest Book Problems: Thanks to all of you for taking the time to write your comments on my previous guestbook. Unfortunately, I have now lost most of my Entries due to an ISP server failure. The backup system was erupted and I could not retrieve some of the data. This apparently happened to everyone who hosted their websites on that server. This I found very annoying, especially since so many people had made the effort of signing the guest book! Please take your time again and Sign my Guestbook.

Memories swim through my thoughts.. it still feels like yesterday. Rest in Peace, Father.

Queens: Information about Famous Historical Persian Queens, ministers, secretaries of state, Generals and Admirals etc. and is dedicated to all the brave Persian women that were wisely running the country for thousands of years before the imposition of the dark, backward, and pernicious Arab ideology of Islam upon Persia which destroyed our style of Federalism, Equal Rights and Democracy and replaced those factors with central brutal government, prejudice and slavery. continue »

The Last King: 2500 years of Persian monarchy ended in 1979. Iran progressed by huge leaps and bounds in the seventies and was labeled by the West as an outstanding economic performer with record earnings and revenues. But those halcyon days are now gone. One of the world's longest-lasting monarchies, the Persian monarchy went through many transformations over the centuries, from the days of Persia to the creation of what is now modern day Iran. In spite of centuries of invasions and foreign rule by Greeks, Arabs, Turks, Mongols etc. Persia has retained its own strong identity. For 1500 years Arabs has tried to destroy our culture, our language, poetry, literature, philosophy, religion, race, traditions, celebrations, music, arts and of course our Calendar. They never fully succeeded! Wake up Persia! I want to end by saying that I am certain that light will overcome darkness/fanaticism, and Persia, alike the legendary bird “Simorgh of Shahnameh”, will once again rise from her ashes and regain her rich history. Persia, has always been home to those who throughout history have fought for the idea of freedom and equality. continue »

Zoroastrian: The religion Zoroastrianism (Good Conscience) was the first Universal and Monotheist Religion in History and the root of much of Jewish, Christian and Islamic doctrine and belief. Zoroastrianism is the oldest of the revealed world-religions, and it has probably had more influence on mankind, directly and indirectly, than any other single faith. On vernal equinox of the 1737 B.C (3748 years ago) Zarathushtra gave to the world pure Monotheism and preached that there is only One God whom he referred to as the “Lord of Wisdom” and the guardian of the cosmic order. Over the millennia, the words and compositions of its founder “Asho Zarathushtra” were almost lost due to passage of time and accidents of history, as libraries and books were burned again and again by invaders (Greeks, Arabs, Mongols, Ottomans etc.) and its wise men were either killed, enslaved, deported or went into hiding and the Persians were brutally forced to change their religion and customs by the edge of the Arab Sword. continue »

Human Rights: The Declaration of Human Rights written by the emperor Cyrus II of Persia has been hailed as the first charter of human rights, predating the Magna Carta by more than one millennium and in 1971 the United Nations was published translation of it in all the official U.N. languages. It is now kept in the British Museum and it is no exaggeration to say that it is one of the most precious historical records of the world. Also a replica of the Cyrus cylinder is kept at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City. continue »
